Our Minister, Charles Collins, has started a new series on the book of Colossians, and this morning we were looking at the question ‘What is a Christian?’ Paul describes all the Christians in Colosse as saints, brothers and in Christ. He explained what each term means and the encouragement they ought to be to all believers.
In the evening, our Minister was once again the preacher. We were looking at Joel chapter 1 and how the LORD is judging His own people because of their sinfulness. He had warned them before that if they were disobedient locusts would destroy their crops and vines, but a worse scenario would soon follow. An enemy would attack them and take them in to captivity. The locusts have arrived in Joel’s day, the enemy’s attack is looming. What should they do? Joel calls on the people to repent and cry out to the LORD, the merciful, covenant keeping God.
